At the risk of turning this into a political blog, I want to post this little report I did in March this year about the coalition governments attempt to sell of the public forests.
I'm posting this because tonight I found out that the Public Bodies Bill is having it's third and final reading in the house of commons. (It's last stage of parliament-people standing around making changes before the Queen approves it and we live under it.)

The bill appears to be coming in and it still affects a lot of things. It will allow the Government to close or merge 495 public bodies who deal with things like nature, legal aid, sports, arts, human rights and more.This is actually an interesting read on the process of the bill:
