The UK Forests - an archive report

At the risk of turning this into a political blog, I want to post this little report I did in March this year about the coalition governments attempt to sell of the public forests.
I'm posting this because tonight I found out that the Public Bodies Bill is having it's third and final reading in the house of commons. (It's last stage of parliament-people standing around making changes before the Queen approves it and we live under it.)
Within the Public Bodies Bill was the proposal to sell the forests. The report explains more...

The bill appears to be coming in and it still affects a lot of things. It will allow the Government to close or merge 495 public bodies who deal with things like nature, legal aid, sports, arts, human rights and more. This is actually an interesting read on the process of the bill:

Westminster Bridge

I went along to the protest which blocked Westminster Bridge last weekend.
It wasn't the most exciting demonstration I must admit. Very relaxed and more like a street party.
I still stayed a while and saw some amusing stuff. These were some of them. A lot of peculiar and funny things do happen at protests.

Stool Pigeon #34

A new Stool Pigeon has hit the streets. It's the fantastic free music newspaper available all over the place.
And of course it has a new gig review by some guy (me). It covers the recent show by excellent The War On Drugs. Grab a copy to see the whole review plus exclusive David Lynch interview and loads more essential music stuff.

Here is the review from last issue...

On the radio!

I'm going stick a music video here which I made a little while ago. It's kind of celebrating the fact that it got a mini plug on BBC 6 radio! The lovely jubbly Marc Riley (of The Fall fame too!) played an amazing band who I've loved for a long time, Bo Ningen, I sent him a message and he surprisingly mentioned that I had made the video for the track and that I also worked with the legendary Cats In Paris! Thanks Marc.

Je suis revenu de Festiblog...

Oh yes and it was great! Merci beaucoup aux organisateurs pour un très bon weekend.

Thank you to all the very nice people who came and asked for un dédicace aussi.

It was a challenge to draw some of your requests but very fun. (a 'mess' or 'someone who is lazy but thinks too much'!)

And hello to all the cool bloggers I met. It is always a pleasure to meet all these people and to talk about stuff in strange sentences mixed with French and English.

Unfortunately I didn't have a camera but there are lots of pictures

A bon weekend in Montargis....

Yes and so another fantastic festival in the French town of Montargis has passed. It was so good to see friends again and make new ones. It's always great to have people come along to have stuff scribbled in.
This year was another stunning festival of great books, great people, great food and great memories. A massive thanks to Arnaud Floc'h for creating the festival and Francois, Marie, Thomas and all the fest staff for making it special. A big thanks to all the creators too who gave me one of the warmest welcomes ever! Bring on Montargis Coince La Bulle 2012!

Gig reviews....Beak

This was my first attempt at this. I hope to do more of these and have them in a prominent music newspaper. News to follow. So much news is coming!!

The Sorry Entertainer is out....

The new newspaper anthology called The Sorry Entertainer was sitting on my doorstep when I got back from my recent France adventure (more about that later).
So It's out and available to buy! It's got a full page from me called Royal Rumble Rock 'n Roll Restling. Plus over 20 more sorry entertainers including Simon Moreton and Noah Van Sciver.

Buy it here for only £1.20! - Glaaagh!

Another Snow Trap review...

"This is a great little [12 page] mini. The plot is simple, the main character tries to track down a man who stole a stack of records from his shop through 6 feet of snow. The execution of this plot told with a goofy sense of humor and very nice stylized cartoony art make this a must buy. David Ziggy Greene's art reminds me of Peter Bagge a bit, but has a very European flair to it. I recommend this very much!" - renderwrx.net
Thanks guys.

Charlie Hebdo - Mars reportage....

Avec mon reportage du démonstrations à Londres, 26er Mars.

Angouleme sketch.

Found this. The only thing I had time to draw in my pad at the festival. Was too busy looking at other peoples stuff.

New British Comics #3 Anthology is out now! Order HERE.

"And then…”A Complex Machine” by David Ziggy Greene.  By the end of this I just thought “What the —- is he on?”  I thought to art and story worked well together and  I’m going to have to chase up a web site here!" - Comicbitsonline.com

"David Ziggy Greene’s A Complex Machine, a creepy tale of alternative therapies, will put you off having massages for the rest of your life." - sexdrugsandcomicbooks

Strange things...

I just felt like sketching something I've never drawn before.
